Here are some ways to support your child's learning while we are out of school...

To review and maintain skills, please access your child's Office 365 Account.  Login information was sent home prior to school closure.

Login to Office 365 and click on the Clever app OR the Clever app has been linked for you above.  Below are some helpful apps the students are familiar with through Clever...

*BrainPOP Jr. has many educational videos and quizzes.
*Wixie students can create many fun projects and there are many curriculum based projects already assigned to them.
*Benchmark Education  Company has a Library where students can have books read to them at their level.
*Code.org has many fun coding activities the kids loved to do in the Computer Lab.
*World Book Online is a fun research tool - could be great for habitats & ecosystems!
*ABCya has many fun educational games
*PebbleGo has some fun videos and lessons
*Raz-Kids is a great reading resource that we've been using all year - login information was sent home prior to closure.
*IXL is a great resource for math practice and they now have science and social studies skills to practice as well!
*Discovery Education is a virtual library full of information covering all subjects.

Optional activity ideas that were sent home previously...
Reading
- read something each day, either a book in hand or on RAZ kids, and choose a choice board activity from the packet that went home to follow up.

Math- Log on to IXL to practice math skills- especially any money, time, addition or subtraction.

Try a Wixie project
- the students have been assigned several projects that go along with the standards they have already been taught. 

Writing- Encourage your child to write about any daily events that occurred, write a letter to a friend or family member, or try some creative writing. Remind them to check for capital letters and punctuation :)

Coding- The kids love it and it promotes critical thinking.

Brainpop Jr- watch a video and take the quiz or try out the activity.

Other fun projects include writing and illustrating their own book, creating an animal habitat diorama, making a character puppet to go along with a book they are reading, writing comics, making a board game that include rules and directions, or creating an i-movie or video of their daily routine at home.

**Our county now has a Food Helpline which coordinates food delivery to the 42 pantries across PWCS.  People who are immune compromised or who do not have transportation can arrange to have their food delivered.  Individuals 65 and over will automatically be placed into the Senior Home Deliver Program.   A representative will direct families to the nearest pantry.
